Hourly Position Summary Responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of company facilities, equipment, and grounds for all of Viking Village Inc's properties. Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of retail and agricultural properties. Supports store operations by ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and in compliance with company standards and State of Wisconsin safety regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or trade certification preferred. Minimum of two years of maintenance experience, preferably in retail, agriculture, manufacturing, or a related field. Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification provided by Viking Village Inc. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekends, evenings, and on-call as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, fixtures, and grounds. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general maintenance issues. Conduct preventative maintenance on company equipment and systems to minimize downtime. Operate and maintain company equipment including forklifts, skid steers, tractors, and other machinery as needed. Perform regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and property to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Assist with seasonal property maintenance including snow removal, lawn care, landscaping, and irrigation system upkeep. Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, storage areas, and other exterior grounds to ensure a safe environment for customers and employees. Support the setup, teardown, and maintenance of displays, fixtures, and infrastructure for store events and promotions. Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment. Document repairs, inspections, maintenance activities, and inventory usage accurately. Follow all company safety policies and procedures and comply with applicable regulations. Work cooperatively with management and team members to prioritize maintenance projects and operational needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift more with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and powered equipment. Working Conditions Work is performed in retail, warehouse, agricultural, and outdoor environments. Exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, dust, noise, and mechanical equipment is common. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn when required. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
