Job Description
Summary/Objective Our Agency works and assists in taking care of our senior citizens. A maintenance lead contributes to our success by helping with day-to-day routine maintenance for the well-being and convenience of our seniors. Along with working with the greatest generation, you'll be making sure our grounds, apartments, and vehicles are properly maintained and cared for, so our people are safe and comfortable. Be a part of something great- come join us in helping our seniors. Essential Functions Performs routine maintenance on building interior and exterior. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, waxes, and polishes floors in hallways and other common areas. Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, light fixtures, windows, and blinds. Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, and equipment to clean area. Setup and take downs for events or other special Agency functions. May also rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow from walkways, and other incidental seasonal tasks. Performs inspections, preventative, and routine maintenance of vehicles, including oil and tire changes. Respond to seniors requests and needs as appropriate. Reads and interprets and equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Flexibility / availability late nights , early mornings and weekends for emergency calls with apartments or facility Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance. Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due. Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of seniors, co-workers' and self. Follow proper reporting procedures for actual or potential accidents and/or incidents so follow-up and prevention can occur. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions at work sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, with core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Possible hours above and beyond normal 8am-5pm for emergencies Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area travel may be expected. Required Education and Experience High school diploma Valid driver's license Must be 21 Preferred Education and Experience Supervisory experience , general vehicle, grounds, and janitorial industry experience.
