Job Description

Lead Maintenance. Drive Uptime. Build a High-Performing Team. We're hiring a Maintenance Group Leader (2nd Shift) to lead a skilled maintenance team in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement across the plant. If you have strong technical experience and leadership ability, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact on production performance and team success. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and team leaders Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime Support production by ensuring equipment uptime and efficient operations Implement and sustain lean manufacturing / TPS principles Coordinate maintenance schedules, staffing, and daily priorities Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards Support continuous improvement initiatives and KPI performance What You'll Work On Automated manufacturing equipment Robotics and PLC-controlled systems High-volume automotive production lines Preventive and predictive maintenance systems What You Bring Required 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment 1-2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents Preferred Experience with PLCs, robotics, or automated equipment Automotive manufacturing experience Experience with lean manufacturing or Toyota Production System (TPS) Technical degree or skilled trades certification Schedule 3rd Shift (hours will be discussed during interview) Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs Why This Role Matters This position plays a critical role in maintaining production flow, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall plant performance.
