Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the distribution facility's Operations Manager, mechanics are expected to be able to inspect, maintain, operate, and repair the distribution center's fleet vehicles and IDS equipment Mechanics report to the distribution center between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM Duties include:

• Communicating with drivers to ensure shift vehicles are running properly
• Conduct regular maintenance and repair work on fleet vehicles and IDS equipment.
• Diagnose automotive, diesel and equipment issues.
• Keep accurate records of every repair work performed on each vehicle.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies, spare parts, and tools as needed.

Experience and Education:

• Preferred
• minimum of 1-2 years of schooling or 2-4 years work experience.
• DOT law and regulation familiarity and knowledge
