Ground Maintenance / Lawn Care Supervisor Vet-Blue, LLC Fort Mitchell, AL Job Details Full-time $23.09 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Grounds edging Outdoor work Trimming (gardening technique) Driver's License Supervising experience Attention to detail Riding mowers Full Job Description Vet-Blue, LLC is seeking an experienced and dependable Ground Maintenance / Lawn Care Supervisor to oversee and perform cemetery ground maintenance services at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Alabama. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a veteran cemetery environment and possess strong knowledge of commercial lawn care equipment and ground maintenance operations. This position requires professionalism, respect for veterans and their families, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain cemetery grounds to national shrine standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and assist with daily ground maintenance operations. Operate commercial lawn care equipment including: Zero-turn mowers Edgers String trimmers Blowers and related equipment Maintain cemetery grounds, lawns, and landscaped areas to high appearance standards. Ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Perform trimming, edging, mowing, weed control, and debris removal. Monitor work quality and productivity. Follow all cemetery regulations, safety procedures, and company policies. Interact respectfully with cemetery staff, visitors, and funeral services personnel. Assist with scheduling and coordination of ground maintenance activities as needed. Qualifications Previous experience working in a veteran cemetery or similar cemetery environment preferred. Experience operating commercial zero-turn mowers, edgers, trimmers, and related landscaping equipment required. Supervisory or team lead experience preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Valid driver's license is preferred. Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials as required.
