Maintenance Supervisor - 1st and 3rd Shifts Available Opelika, AL $63K - $95K A growing food manufacturing facility in Opelika is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead either a 1st Shift or 3rd shift maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong mechanical knowledge and experience managing maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, minimizing equipment downtime, supporting production goals, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily maintenance operations and ensure timely completion of work orders Respond quickly to production breakdowns while maintaining safety and productivity standards Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance for production equipment and support systems Lead, coach, and develop a maintenance team of 10-20 employees Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate maintenance resources effectively Partner with production teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and company safety standards Review blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation to support maintenance planning Identify and troubleshoot equipment performance issues and implement corrective actions Assist with maintenance projects, cost control initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts Qualifications 3-6 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, boiler, and mechanical systems Experience with preventive maintenance programs and production equipment troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications Technical education or vocational training in engineering, electronics, or related field preferred Work Environment Manufacturing/production facility environment Ability to lift 25+ lbs and perform physical maintenance duties as needed Must be comfortable working 3rd shift schedules If you're motivated, reliable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative finance team, we'd love to hear from you.
