SUPERVISOR MAINTENANCE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SUPERVISOR MAINTENANCE

Provide Maintenance employees with guidance, direction and supervision in support of departmental operations. Promptly address performance issues. Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results. Execute planned and scheduled maintenance operations within assigned areas of responsibility. Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner. Maintain well-organized and productive work areas. Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR THE SUPERVISOR MAINTENANCE

High school diploma required. Two-year college degree preferred. Minimum two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment. Practical understanding of industrial/maintenance principles, standards, methods and practices. Knowledge of disciplined problem-solving methods, and of positive employee relations practices. Demonstrated leadership ability; sets high expectations for performance. Innovative problem-solving skills, including motivation to discover "Win-Win" outcomes whenever possible. Good business judgment and decision-making skills. Direct, candid and mature interpersonal skills. Trustworthy and able to influence others. Willingness to offer a dissenting opinion before final decisions are reached. Disciplined results orientation. Good business writing skills. Flexibility in terms of shift assignments and/or rotations. Ability to work extensive hours in support of continuous operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized and the ability to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Willing to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
