Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor specializing in Heavy Equipment to lead our maintenance operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the repair, servicing, and overall maintenance of a diverse fleet of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance across all assets, supporting our operational excellence. Responsibilities Supervise daily maintenance activities for heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers Coordinate repairs and diagnostics for diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC units, and electrical components Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively Lead fabrication and welding projects to modify or repair equipment as needed Ensure adherence to safety standards during all maintenance procedures and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies essential for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance Provide hands-on support with heavy lifting, tire service, alignment, and other mechanical tasks to maintain operational readiness Qualifications Proven experience in dealership or heavy equipment maintenance with strong mechanical knowledge of Caterpillar/Diesel types of equipment Skilled in automotive diagnostics, welding (including soldering), fabrication, and the use of power tools Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic diagrams Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment Knowledge of vehicle maintenance including brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and transmission work Ability to perform detailed inspections using hand tools and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise technicians while fostering a team-oriented environment Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs Join us in driving operational success through expert fleet management!
