What You'll Do Lead, direct, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and equipment repair schedules Monitor and reduce machine downtime through efficient troubleshooting and repairs Diagnose and assist with resolution of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related issues Promote and enforce a "Safety First" culture across the maintenance team Ensure compliance with SQF, GMP, and food safety standards Assist in training, evaluating, and developing maintenance employees Partner with production and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Perform additional duties as required to support business operations Work Environment Food manufacturing plant environment Exposure to temperature variations depending on production areas Use of industrial equipment and maintenance tools Weekend and off-shift work may be required based on operational needs How Military Experience Fits Military experience may be considered in place of civilian maintenance leadership experience requirements outlined below. Veterans with backgrounds in equipment maintenance, mechanical systems, operations leadership, or facilities management often align well with this role. Maintenance leadership or platoon/section supervision Equipment readiness and preventive maintenance programs Mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance roles Safety enforcement, compliance, and operational leadership Relevant backgrounds may include (not required): •
Associate's degree or technical program certificate; OR 5+ years of related experience and training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance lead or supervisor with direct reports. Proven experience directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians.
Technical Skills:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC systems. Experience developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
Communication:
Ability to clearly communicate ideas verbally and in writing. Strong listening and comprehension skills.
Computer Skills:
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook. Basic PLC knowledge required. SAP experience preferred.

Compensation Range:
$78,500.00 - $113,600.00 USD Annual The posted compensation range reflects Tyson Foods Inc. national average range for this role. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
