Job Description

Job Description The Repair & Maintenance Lead Technician provides field service support while assisting with the daily coordination of the R&M department. This position works under the supervision of the Department Director and serves as the primary day-to-day lead for the R&M technician team. This is a working lead position responsible for troubleshooting and repairing restaurant equipment while also assisting with technician scheduling, parts ordering, and vendor coordination. The R&M Lead Technician is expected to lead by example through technical ability, communication, organization, and responsiveness to restaurant repair needs.

WITH Company MATCH Primary Responsibilities Include:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, and restaurant equipment. Assist with assigning and coordinating daily repair tickets for R&M technicians. Communicate repair priorities and updates with Operations leadership and restaurant management. Order parts and maintain R&M inventory levels. Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers as needed. Assist technicians with technical support and troubleshooting in the field. Monitor open repair tickets to ensure timely completion. Perform field visits to support technicians and verify repair quality when necessary. Identify repair opportunities and preventative maintenance needs within restaurants. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and service activity. Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, tools, and inventory. Follow safe work practices and company safety procedures. Participate in the rotating on-call schedule and assist with urgent restaurant repair needs.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Serve as the day-to-day lead for the R&M technician team. Assist with technician scheduling and workload balancing. Help train and onboard new technicians. Provide communication and coordination support between Operations and the R&M team. Escalate major repair, vendor, or facility issues to the IT Director. Support department efficiency and repair cost management.
Required Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:
Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with commercial restaurant equipment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple repair requests. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong leadership and team support skills. High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various restaurant environments. Flexible work hours to support restaurant operations, including occasional after-hours or weekend support. Must pass pre-employment criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of foodservice equipment repair experience or related technical field. Prior leadership or lead technician experience preferred. Experience with gas, electric, refrigeration, and steam equipment. CEFESA certification is a plus.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday Typical schedule: 6:00am - 3:00pm Rotating on-call weekends and after-hours support as needed
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
