Overnight alarms were quiet, utilities are steady, and the PM dashboard shows everything on track. By mid-morning, you've coordinated a vendor for an HVAC tune-up, reviewed last month's PM metrics with the Operations Manager, and slotted a CNC lathe for AS9100-compliant preventive maintenance this afternoon—without disrupting production. It's a balance of planning, hands-on troubleshooting, and elevating a team that takes pride in a pristine, safe, and efficient plant. If this sounds like your kind of day, you'll thrive here. What you'll lead Own the maintenance master plan: schedule and prioritize facility and equipment work alongside Manufacturing Leads, Production Planning, and Management. Run the annual AS9100-compliant PM program for all CNC assets, and report monthly progress to the Operations Manager. Stay ahead of issues by coordinating daily and monthly facility upkeep to prevent production impact.
Oversee building systems end-to-end:
electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic/air handling, CCTV, alarm, and access control. Direct servicing and care for CNC mills, lathes, manual machines, and inspection equipment. Co-lead new construction and remodel initiatives—from scope and planning through closeout. Source, schedule, and manage outside vendors for specialized maintenance and project work. Hold a seat on the Safety Committee and champion safety protocols for Maintenance and Custodial teams. Train and certify teammates on forklift safety; uphold 5S-level cleanliness and organization during and after all work. Continuously seek improvements in facility functionality, cost efficiency, and machine performance. Provide daily project and maintenance updates to the Operations Manager and bring pragmatic, creative fixes to complex challenges. Tackle additional responsibilities as needed to keep the operation running smoothly. How you lead Lead by example, owning outcomes—not just tasks. Stay calm under pressure; pivot quickly as priorities shift. Keep multiple projects moving with exceptional organization and clear, proactive communication. Work confidently with hand tools, power tools, and advanced CNC machinery. Use Microsoft Excel and Word to manage schedules, logs, and reports. Model a self-driven commitment to a clean, safe, well-organized facility. Team and scope You will directly supervise the Facilities Techs and the Custodian. Minimum background 5-10 years in commercial building/facility maintenance. 5-10 years maintaining CNC or industrial equipment. 5-10 years in a lead or supervisory capacity. 5-10 years of project management experience. Ability to safely operate a forklift. High school diploma or GED required. Physical demands This role involves frequent standing for extended periods, walking, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Regular talking and hearing are required. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and may occasionally work in areas with fumes, odors, or dust. Official details Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time non-exempt position, and minimum hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm. Occasionally additional hours may be required on weekends and nights as workload and unforeseen emergencies dictate. Other information This description summarizes key responsibilities and qualifications. Duties and priorities may evolve as operational needs change.
