Automotive Service Writer / Service Manager

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Service Writer to join our dynamic team. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed repair orders, accurately estimating costs for services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, and diesel engine repairs Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, mechanical issues, and recommended repairs Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle inspection findings to enhance customer safety and satisfaction Manage cash handling transactions accurately while maintaining proper records Coordinate with parts departments to ensure timely availability of necessary components for repairs Provide clear explanations of repair procedures and estimates to customers, fostering trust and transparency Experience Proven dealership experience as an Automotive Service Writer or similar role in auto service management Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems including transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension components, and auto body repair Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with service technician workflows is highly desirable Demonstrated ability in auto estimating software and automotive service writing tools Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting client relationships Familiarity with cash handling procedures and inventory management in an automotive setting Knowledge of automotive performance, motorsports, fabrication, tuning, and detailing is highly desireable Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional automotive care! $50,897.37 - $80,930.16 per year
