Our warehouse and fulfillment center is the engine behind our operation — and keeping that engine running is mission-critical. We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager who takes pride in a safe, well-functioning facility and knows how to build preventive maintenance programs that actually prevent problems. Position Overview The Manager, Maintenance is responsible for the upkeep, safety, and operational reliability of our fulfillment facility. This role leads all maintenance activities — preventive, corrective, and emergency — and manages a small maintenance team alongside outside contractors and vendors. You'll be the go-to person when something breaks and the reason it doesn't break in the first place. Key Responsibilities Facility & Equipment Maintenance Oversee all maintenance activities across the warehouse and fulfillment facility, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, dock equipment, conveyor systems, and general building infrastructure Develop, implement, and continuously improve a preventive maintenance (PM) program to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance issues promptly, minimizing operational disruption Conduct routine facility inspections and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history Manage and maintain a spare parts and supplies inventory to support timely repairs Team & Vendor Management Lead, schedule, and develop a maintenance technician team. Source, manage, and hold accountable third-party contractors and service vendors (HVAC, electrical, pest control, fire suppression, etc.) Review and approve vendor invoices and work orders; track maintenance spend against budget Partner with leadership to plan and schedule maintenance work that minimizes impact on fulfillment operations. Safety & Compliance Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA standards, local building codes, and company safety policies Conduct and document safety inspections; identify and correct hazards proactively Maintain up-to-date records for all required inspections, certifications, and regulatory compliance (fire systems, dock equipment, racking, etc.) Support and participate in safety committee meetings and initiatives Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations Capital Projects & Improvements Assess aging equipment and infrastructure; develop recommendations and business cases for capital repairs or replacements Manage small-to-mid-scale facility improvement projects from scoping through completion Coordinate with external contractors on build-outs, installations, or facility modifications Support space planning and facility expansion initiatives as the business grows Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or plant/warehouse maintenance 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role managing maintenance staff Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and material handling equipment Demonstrated experience building or managing a preventive maintenance program Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and emergency situations simultaneously Hands-on and willing to work alongside the team Preferred Experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or fulfillment environment Forklift certification or experience with powered industrial equipment maintenance Experience managing dock levelers, conveyors, or racking systems Trade certification or vocational training in electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with tiered company match and profit sharing Flex PTO Employee discount on all Branded Bills products Parental leave A collaborative team that values doing things right the first time Branded Bills is an equal opportunity employer.
