Maintenance Lead

Summary The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations within the cold storage facility. This role ensures that refrigeration systems, facility equipment, and building infrastructure operate safely and efficiently. The Maintenance Lead coordinates maintenance activities, supervises maintenance staff, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities within the cold storage facility. Inspect, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and related equipment. Monitor facility temperatures and refrigeration performance to ensure product integrity. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration issues. Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems, forklifts, conveyors, dock equipment, and facility infrastructure. Supervise and provide guidance to maintenance technicians and contractors. Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment service records. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies. Coordinate emergency repairs and respond quickly to refrigeration or equipment failures. Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts. Assist with facility improvements, equipment installations, and system upgrades. Ensure proper operation of backup systems, including generators and alarm systems. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training in refrigeration, HVAC, or industrial maintenance preferred. 3-5 years of maintenance experience in industrial, food processing, or cold storage facilities. Experience working with ammonia or industrial refrigeration systems preferred. Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in cold environments and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
