Vehicle / Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced mechanic to lead our vehicle / equipment maintenance department. This is a supervisor level position that requires strong leadership characteristics. The company fleet consists of 69 different vehicles and pieces of equipment which includes pump rigs, forklifts, skid steers, service trucks, boom trucks, etc. Duties Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles and equipment and make recommendations to improve down time and extend equipment life. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair company vehicles and related equipment. Perform repairs or replace major components to keep fleet in safe operations, while making repairs in a timely manner. Use a Company Vehicle to drive and conduct diagnostics, make repairs, and troubleshoot equipment at different job sites when applicable. Perform mandated wire rope inspections / derrick inspections on cranes. Maintain accurate maintenance records and BIT compliance documentation to regulatory standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment while adhering to all safety protocols. Use a variety of tools, instruments, scanners, to safely accomplish tasks and make recommendations when applicable. Delegate work and supervise two other mechanics. Skills 5+ Years of experience in heavy equipment and fleet maintenance preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Experience with hydraulic systems such as hoses, pumps, reservoirs, actuators, etc. Experience with Cranes (Boom Trucks, Auto Cranes, Upright Derricks). Familiarity with Basic Inspection of Terminals (BIT) program (fleet documentation). Self-motivated with strong leadership potential. Ability to work independently and prioritize task.
