This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, oversee capital projects, and build a strong, collaborative maintenance culture aligned with plant goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all maintenance operations across a 24/5 manufacturing environment , ensuring maximum uptime and equipment reliability Manage and develop a team of approximately 20 maintenance professionals (technicians and electricians) Oversee and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs Drive root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions Plan, manage, and execute CAPEX projects , including budgeting, vendor selection, and implementation Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and EHS leadership to meet production and performance targets Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards , especially within a union environment Utilize continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance maintenance effectiveness and reduce downtime Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to align with production demands Support development of SOPs, JSAs, and maintenance best practices Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration across the maintenance and plant teams Requirements Bachelor's degree required (Engineering or technical discipline strongly preferred) 8+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Proven experience leading maintenance teams (prior management experience required) Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and PLC/controls systems Experience in unionized manufacturing environments preferred Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive performance Experience managing CAPEX projects and maintenance budgets Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment Benefits Saint-Gobain offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support employees and their families: Health & Wellbeing Medical, Dental, Vision coverage Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Time Off 3 weeks PTO to start (+1 day annually, capped at 30 days) 11 holidays + 5 sick days Retirement & Financial 401(k) with company match Financial wellness programs Additional Benefits Career development and internal mobility opportunities Strong succession planning and leadership development programs Additional benefits
