  • Full-time Senior Maintenance Operations Manager We are a premium California winery specializing in traditional Méthode Champenoise (bottle-fermented) sparkling wines.
We blend heritage craftsmanship with modern efficiency in a dynamic, high-quality production environment that demands precision, reliability, and continuous improvement. Our operations include legacy bottling, riddling, disgorging, and packaging equipment alongside newer automation. We seek a hands-on, forward-thinking leader to optimize maintenance, drive reliability, and foster a culture of excellence. Position Summary Reporting to senior operations leadership, the Senior Maintenance Operations Manager provides strategic leadership for all maintenance, reliability, facilities, utilities, and asset management functions. This position is responsible for building a proactive, reliability-centered maintenance organization while supporting automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead all maintenance operations for production, packaging, utilities, facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Develop a world-class reliability program emphasizing preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Own the MaintainX CMMS, including asset hierarchy, preventive maintenance, work orders, inventory, KPI reporting, and maintenance planning.
  • Drive measurable improvements in
OEE, MTBF, PM
compliance, schedule compliance, emergency work reduction, and asset availability.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), and corrective action initiatives.
  • Modernize legacy equipment using Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Ignition SCADA, HMIs, VFDs, Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA, and intelligent automation.
  • Manage capital projects from concept through specification, budgeting, FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, startup, and ROI validation.
  • Oversee electrical systems, controls, automation, instrumentation, utilities, contractors, and critical spare parts strategies.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and EHS to maximize reliability and operational performance.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop supervisors, planners, technicians, electricians, and contractors while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, GMP, HACCP, OSHA compliance, and food safety best practices. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in maintenance, reliability, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
  • 5+ years leading maintenance teams, supervisors, planners, contractors, or technical personnel.
  • Experience in food & beverage, winery, packaging, pharmaceutical, dairy, brewery, consumer packaged goods, or other high-speed manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, automation, electrical systems, SCADA, CMMS, asset management, and reliability engineering.
  • Demonstrated success leading capital projects, modernization initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, budgeting, planning, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering degree or advanced certifications such as CMRP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, TPM, or electrical/controls certifications.
  • Experience with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CAD/CAM, Haas CNC equipment, G-code, machining, welding, fabrication, and reverse engineering.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, lubrication management, and condition monitoring.
  • Experience with winery-specific equipment including bottling, riddling, disgorging, pressure systems, and temperature-controlled processing.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$132,996
