1st Shift•Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM•3:30 PM Heavy overtime required Overview SkillsetGroup is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager for a manufacturing/aerospace client. This role is responsible for overseeing all facility engineering and maintenance functions, including CNC equipment maintenance, facility operations, preventative maintenance programs, and capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience within a CNC machining or aerospace manufacturing environment and will play a key role in developing maintenance systems, improving operational efficiency, and supporting production uptime. Responsibilities Direct and oversee all facility engineering and maintenance operations Develop and maintain CMMS, preventative maintenance, and parts/tool room programs Monitor machine downtime and preventative maintenance activities while implementing corrective actions Support production operations by identifying equipment and facility constraints and recommending solutions Generate specifications for facility and equipment-related projects Plan and schedule facility renovations, layouts, and capital improvement projects Create and maintain facility drawings and project documentation Track capital expenditures for facility and equipment projects Develop quotation requests for equipment, services, and supplies Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment purchases and facility services Monitor energy consumption and maintenance-related operational performance Ensure all maintenance and facility work complies with OSHA, EPA, Cal-OSHA, EH&S, and safety regulations Conduct safety inspections, audits, and safety huddles Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate maintenance personnel and department leads Determine staffing needs and support recruiting, hiring, and employee development Serve as an active member of safety and continuous improvement committees Support environmental compliance including chemical labeling, storage, and MSDS requirements Perform additional maintenance, engineering, or facility-related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Engineering degree preferred 4-5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment Aerospace industry experience preferred, but other manufacturing industries will be considered Experience developing CMMS systems, preventative maintenance programs, and parts/tool room systems Strong knowledge of CNC machinery maintenance and facility operations Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management experience Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Must meet ITAR requirements and be a U.S. Citizen Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required Team Structure Direct oversight of: 2 Maintenance Leads 7 Maintenance Mechanics Work Environment Manufacturing and CNC machining environment Exposure to machinery, airborne particles, vibration, and moderate noise levels Frequent interaction with production, engineering, and maintenance teams Combination of office and production floor responsibilities Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed Frequent use of hands and arms for handling equipment and tools Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs Close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment required Performance Expectations Develop and implement effective CMMS and preventative maintenance systems Minimize machine downtime and improve equipment reliability Maintain safe and compliant facility operations Support production uptime and operational efficiency Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team Successfully manage facility and capital improvement projects
