Job Description

Ronpak is a nationally renowned manufacturer of carry out paper bags, portion control bags and food wraps with a huge range of choices. Founded in 1947, the company is a solid supplier with continuous, stable ownership. Ronpak has the most advanced production and distribution platforms in the custom printed packaging industry today. Ronpak has an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager in our Mira Loma Plant. Job Purpose The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising and monitoring the maintenance department. The Maintenance Manager's primary responsibility is to support the Maintenance Department through the knowledge of mechanics, machine shop practices, mechanical support and equipment installations and modifications. This position will be a key member of the Food Safety and Quality team and have responsibility for leading implementation and on-going program management/oversight on SQF certification. The Plant Manager is the back up for the Maintenance Manager, and will cover for absences or vacancies. Essential Job Functions Plan, prioritize, assign, supervisor and review the work of mechanics, machinists, electricians, etc. responsible for the facility maintenance. Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills to include but not limited to: welding, fabrication, mill or lathe work, electrical skills, plumbing skills, drill press operation, and comprehension of diagrams. Working knowledge of production support system within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrates knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, good housekeeping and GMPs. Demonstrates effective interaction skills to support team activities and initiatives related to effective process decisions and goals. Proven root cause analysis success, ability to train, coach and mentor direct reports. Responsible for reporting issues related to Food Packaging safety or quality. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Experience:
5+ years' progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or equivalent Additional Duties & Responsibilities Collects data to determine downtime trends, repetitive breakdowns, unplanned breakdowns, etc. Performs physical tasks while working with equipment or machinery Reducing parts inventories and establishing min/max levels to support the inventory by reducing parts usage through machine PM's, root cause troubleshooting, analyzing broken or worn parts, etc. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communicating effectively in written and oral form Conducting organizational and administrative duties Managing people and time Experience with maintenance software system Performs physical tasks Ability to use tools and work with job specific equipment and machinery Being adaptable and self-driven High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) Must be bilingual Spanish Physical Demands of the Job The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
