Maintenance Manager Tower Corporation Kernville Kernville, CA 93238 $50,000 a year - Full-time $50,000 a year - Full-time Position Summary Seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and appearance of our RV park, campground, cabins, and common areas. This is a working manager position, not a desk job. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, proactive, organized, and takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for maintaining park infrastructure, utilities, facilities, grounds, and equipment while supervising maintenance staff and responding to issues that arise in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Essential ResponsibilitiesPark & Facility Maintenance Oversee the maintenance and repair of RV sites, cabins, restrooms, showers, playgrounds, beach access areas, roads, fences, and common areas. Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and operational issues before they become problems. Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules for all facilities and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, irrigation, carpentry, and mechanical issues as needed. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations. Utilities & Infrastructure Monitor and maintain park utility systems including water, sewer, electrical pedestals, submeter systems, propane systems, and related infrastructure. Read, monitor, and troubleshoot utility meters and systems. Coordinate repairs with licensed contractors when specialized work is required. Ensure all systems comply with applicable regulations and safety standards. Grounds & Appearance Maintain high standards for cleanliness and curb appeal throughout the property. Oversee landscaping, tree maintenance, weed abatement, and seasonal projects. Ensure all guest-facing areas are safe, clean, and operational daily. Team Leadership Supervise, schedule, and train maintenance personnel. Prioritize daily, weekly, and seasonal projects. Coordinate with office staff to efficiently address guest and operational needs. Manage outside vendors and contractors. Equipment Management Operate and maintain equipment such as tractors, utility vehicles, golf carts, mowers, chainsaws, power tools, and other maintenance equipment. Track inventory and order maintenance supplies as needed. Guest Service Interact professionally with campers, RV guests, and cabin renters. Resolve maintenance-related guest concerns promptly and courteously. Support a positive guest experience while maintaining park rules and standards.
Qualifications Required:
5+ years of maintenance experience. 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, irrigation, and general repairs. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently. Comfortable operating maintenance equipment and tools. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Preferred:
RV park, campground, resort, hotel, or hospitality maintenance experience. Experience with utility submeter systems. Pool, water, or septic system experience. Contractor management experience.
