Job Description

Equipment Manager — El Niguel Country Club El Niguel Country Club is seeking a highly qualified Equipment Manager to lead our equipment maintenance operations. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for the club's equipment fleet. Key responsibilities include executing repairs and maintenance, managing detailed service records (including parts and labor), and placing orders for necessary parts and supplies. The Equipment Manager reports to the Director of Agronomy and is expected to communicate equipment needs or issues promptly and effectively. This position also schedules, directs, trains, and oversees the work of all equipment technicians. A strong commitment to safety is essential, as the Equipment Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized service area and maintenance facility. A key component of this role will include assisting with the renovation and organization of the club's new maintenance facility once on board.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year formal education in golf course equipment maintenance Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a golf course mechanic Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and methods used in golf course and landscape maintenance Working knowledge of the safe operation of all motorized golf course equipment Advanced skills in reel grinding and cutting unit setup Excellent organizational and time-management skills Fluency in English; Spanish fluency a plus Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions independently Valid driver's license Expertise with light and heavy maintenance equipment Strong mechanical repair skills and familiarity with a wide range of equipment repair tools Solid understanding of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive Knowledge of efficient maintenance practices and California regulations
