Our street-facing camera network detects suspicious activity, routes events to a live Security Operations Center for review, and coordinates with local law enforcement to help prevent crime before it happens and help solve cases. Founded by operators from the early team at DoorDash and other high-growth technology companies, Vale is growing rapidly across Menlo Park and surrounding communities. We are building the operational foundation to scale across the Bay Area and beyond. We're looking for someone to own installation operations as we expand. This is an opportunity to work directly with the founders, build a critical function from the ground up, and help create the systems and processes that will support the company's next stage of growth. Role Overview You will be responsible for ensuring every Vale camera installation is completed on time, on budget, compliant, and with an exceptional customer experience. You will coordinate homeowners, installers, vendors, materials, and schedules to ensure cameras move from signed contract to live operation quickly and efficiently. ResponsibilitiesInstallation Planning Schedule installation appointments with homeowners Conduct virtual and in-person site surveys when necessary Create installation plans and scope of work Ensure power, placement, and visibility requirements are understood before installation day Vendor Coordination Coordinate hardware installers Coordinate electricians and low-voltage contractors Coordinate technology partners Manage installation schedules and timelines Ensure vendors arrive with required materials and information Materials & Procurement Source install materials and determine storage Maintain inventory of standard installation materials Reduce installation costs while improving quality Installation Oversight Ensure hardware is installed correctly and safely Verify camera placement and field of view Confirm poles are level and structurally sound Ensure power runs are completed properly Troubleshoot installation issues in the field Customer Experience Serve as primary point of contact during installation Communicate timelines and expectations Coordinate access requirements Resolve customer questions and issues Process Improvement Document installation procedures Build installation checklists Track installation costs and timelines Improve installation speed and consistency Develop scalable processes as Vale expands Ideal Candidate Construction, field operations, telecommunications, security systems, or infrastructure deployment experience Strong project coordination skills Comfortable working directly with homeowners and vendors Highly organized and detail oriented Able to manage multiple vendors simultaneously Willing to visit installation sites as needed Time Commitment Part-time contractor progressing to full-time Approximately 10-20 hours per week Flexible schedule with availability around installation days
