Valid Driver's License. The Opportunity You will serve as a vital leadership pillar at BRIXCO, directly ensuring the maximum uptime of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles. This role empowers you to command shop operations and mentor a dedicated team of mechanics while supporting the backbone of large-scale civil projects. You will have the autonomy to drive maintenance excellence for a company that values innovation, safety, and your long-term professional growth. How You Will Make an Impact Supervise and mentor shop and field mechanics to ensure high-quality repairs and peak productivity. Manage the daily execution of preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Troubleshoot and resolve complex hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues to maintain project timelines. Maintain accurate documentation of service records and maintenance logs using computer-based systems. Coordinate parts inventory and vendor relationships to ensure necessary components are available for timely repairs. Oversee shop safety protocols to ensure all maintenance activities strictly comply with OSHA standards. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience working with heavy construction equipment and commercial vehicles. Proven ability to lead mechanical teams and manage shop workflows with minimal oversight. Advanced proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components. Demonstrated experience using fleet maintenance software and basic computer applications. Valid Driver's License and the ability to operate forklifts and heavy construction machinery. Strong communication skills necessary for managing team dynamics and field service coordination. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Prior supervisory or foreman-level experience specifically within the civil construction or utilities industry. Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to facilitate team communication. Proven track record of training and developing junior mechanics in a high-volume environment. Compensation & Benefits Weekly pay cycle with competitive hourly rates ranging from $40 to $60.
