K Summary:
Ensure the upkeep of all site equipment, buildings, vehicles, and other facilities. Provide support to the production teams to ensure safe and efficient operations are maintained, and KPI's are achieved.
Essential Duties:
Maintain a safe workplace. Ensure all work complies with code. Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards. Keep informed of any government rules affecting the workplace. Ensure production hours are covered by maintenance at all times. Using continuous improvement methods, develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance. Maintain and recommend any vehicle maintenance or improvements. Source 3rd parties to complete work as necessary. Obtain several quotes for 3rd party work to ensure cost-effective operations. Keep within all relevant budgets. Set housekeeping standards and inspect daily. Effectively lead subordinate supervisors and employees. Develop, implement, and keep up to date Standard Operating Procedures and Risk assessments for all relevant activities. Implement and upkeep of predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Report KPI's as required. Help resolve customer problems and any warranty issues where required. Attend and participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required. Hire, train, motivate, and supervise plant employees. Maintain discipline, monitor attendance, and appraise performance. Recommend promotion, salary adjustments, disciplinary action, and termination. Ensure department personnel practices conform to the personnel department's policies and programs. Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance. Follow Compliance requirements per "
KNA-SOP-1705
Compliance Roles and Responsibilities." Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Four-year college degree or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical operations. Strong ability to use power and hand tools. Supply chain management skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must be able to speak and understand written English. Must understand technical and mechanical language.
Computer Skills:
Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Other Skills and Requirements:
High level of interpersonal skills. Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills. Excellent telephone and oral communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Near and far visual acuity for spotting defects or reading gauges. Hearing alarms, instructions, or machinery sounds. Peripheral vision for monitoring surroundings.
Cognitive & Environmental Factors:
Maintaining focus in noisy or fast-paced environments. Performing tasks independently or in teams. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, or chemicals, depending on the facility.
