Maintenance Lead

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee 2nd shift and coordinate all maintenance activities within our manufacturing facility. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, infrastructure, and facilities by leading a team of maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Lead will implement preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Duties Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of daily tasks, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure smooth startup of production lines daily and ensure maintenance is focused on keeping production lines running safely, efficiently and making quality product. Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems, including HVAC units, low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, and industrial machinery. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Manage projects related to facilities management, equipment upgrades, or new installations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and budget adherence. Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they escalate. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical systems (including high voltage), mechanical operations, and general facilities management. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics to maintain optimal system performance. Coordinate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks that minimize production downtime. Train team members on best practices in industrial maintenance, safety procedures, and new technologies like programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Skills Proven management experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including working with low voltage and high voltage systems. Proficiency with Maintenance system ( preventive and predictive ) work order tracking and inventory management. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams accurately. Knowledge of HVAC systems and facilities management principles. Experience with industrial maintenance involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation. Skilled in troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments. Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously. Fluency in English/Spanish for effective communication across teams and documentation purposes. Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities in fast-paced environments.
