Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Supervisor based in Signal Hill, California. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for leading daily maintenance operations, ensuring equipment and facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, assigning and prioritizing work orders, conducting inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and monitoring maintenance activities. The role also involves maintaining accurate maintenance records, enforcing safety policies and procedures, and supporting the training and development of maintenance team members to ensure operational excellence and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities Assign tasks and monitor staff performance Conduct inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports Assist in training and development of maintenance staff
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance, service, or repair experience within the elevator industry required Must reside in or near Signal Hill, California Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of elevator systems, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and industry safety standards Ability to effectively supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and mechanics Strong customer service and relationship management skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and address service concerns Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage schedules, and respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues Strong verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations and safety requirements Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly to customer sites and field locations
