Group OverviewAir Mobility Group (AIRMOB) is responsible for developing and delivering Metreas aerial refueling (AAR) capabilities, ensuring the readiness and operational effectiveness of the tanker fleet. AIRMOB oversees fleet management, maintenance, and airworthiness, working to sustain and enhance refueling operations. It manages the integration of new processes and technologies, ensuring that tanker aircraft remain mission-ready through effective logistics, maintenance oversight, and regulatory compliance. By coordinating across various teams, AIRMOB ensures the fleet meets both current and future operational needs, supporting a range of specialized air mobility missions.

Position SummaryIn this role, you will lead and oversee AIRMOBs maintenance records management program, ensuring every maintenance event is captured accurately and completely in AMOS. You will manage the records team, drive compliance with FAA documentation standards, and serve as the organizations primary authority on records integrity for the aerial refueling fleet. You will be successful if you are detail-oriented, systematic in your approach, and thrive in a regulated environment where documentation quality directly supports airworthiness.

What Youll DoSupervise and manage the maintenance records team, providing daily guidance, training, and performance oversightEnsure accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities in AMOSReview and approve maintenance work packages, log entries, and technical records before releasePerform comprehensive records audits to verify completeness, accuracy, and regulatory complianceIdentify documentation discrepancies and implement corrective actions with affected departmentsDevelop and maintain records management procedures, standards, and best practicesServe as AMOS super-user for records management functions and provide system training to staffEnsure compliance with FAA record-keeping requirements and retention policiesOversee component traceability documentation and life-limited parts trackingLead root cause analysis for records-related findings and non-conformancesWhat Youll BringMust HavesAssociates degree in aviation management, business, or a related field; Bachelors degree preferredMinimum 57 years of experience in aircraft maintenance records managementAt least 2 years of management or team lead experienceExpert proficiency in AMOS or a comparable maintenance tracking systemThorough knowledge of FAA regulations including Parts 43, 91, and 121 record-keeping requirementsExperience with maintenance records auditing and quality control processesStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interpret technical manuals and regulatory requirementsNice to HavesAdvanced AMOS user experienceA&P licenseExperience with military or commercial aircraft records managementKnowledge of KC-135 or Boeing 707 derivative aircraft documentationExperience with Part 121 or Part 135 record-keeping requirementsFamiliarity with CASS and reliability program documentationAdditional Eligibility QualificationsExperience with experimental exhibition or special flight permit operations preferredFamiliarity with DCMA requirements and military maintenance documentation standards a plusExperience with aircraft lease transitions and records packagesExperience implementing paperless or digital records management systemsOur FirmwareAt Metrea, our single core value, Rooted in Humility, and our four cornerstone attributesEntrepreneurial, Systematic, Discerning, and Over-Deliver. Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Work LocationMixed operational environment including flight line operations and office facilities.

Work EnvironmentThis position operates primarily in an office environment with regular visits to aircraft flight line operations. Work requires extended periods of computer use for records review and data entry. May require access to confined spaces such as records storage areas and aircraft during documentation verification. The role involves managing high volumes of technical documentation requiring sustained concentration and attention to detail. Physical mobility to inspect aircraft systems, climb aircraft, and work in confined spaces may be required. Travel to customer sites, vendor facilities, or other operational locations may be required.
