The Maintenance Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Maintenance Department to ensure our facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities Plan, organize, implement, and oversee all maintenance department operations Develop and maintain maintenance policies, procedures, and schedules Coordinate maintenance services with other departments including Nursing, Dietary, and Activities Supervise maintenance personnel and ensure staff performance and safety compliance Conduct routine inspections of equipment, storage areas, utility rooms, and facility grounds Ensure compliance with safety, fire prevention, infection control, and hazardous materials regulations Maintain and monitor MSDS documentation and hazardous chemical labeling/storage Oversee outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed properly Participate in facility inspections and develop corrective action plans as needed Monitor maintenance supplies and department budget to ensure efficiency and cost control Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and promptly report facility damage Maintain confidentiality of resident information and protected health information Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed Qualifications Previous maintenance supervisory or director experience preferred Knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance Experience in healthcare or skilled nursing facilities preferred Ability to lead staff and coordinate multiple projects Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to respond to emergencies and work independently Benefits Competitive pay Health benefits Paid time off Supportive team environment Full-time stable position If you are a motivated professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe and efficient environment, we encourage you to apply and join the Tice Valley Post Acute team.
