Description of Job This position has responsibility for the oversight of multiple buildings at the Centennial Training Center at Fort Carson located in Colorado Springs and serves as the principal advisor for the sustainment, restoration, and modernization (SRM) project priorities. This involves all aspects of supervising eight subordinate positions performing a variety of service and support to the Centennial Training Center buildings. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: conducting monthly visits at various buildings and sites to ensure all facilities and equipment are in good working condition; conducting inspections on all mechanical equipment and facility upkeep; coordinating vendors and contractors for various projects; approving and assigning resources dedicated toward work orders; utilizing and maintaining internal systems to manage work orders to labor hours; ensuring fiscal, safety, and environmental compliance for the well being and safety of all building occupants in each assigned facility; communicating and interacting with building tenants on a frequent basis to learn of problems, needs, and concerns and coordinate mitigation to minimize disruptions to missions; determining regional budget requests based upon needs and resources available at each facility; coordinating and ensuring necessary supplies are on hand and stocked at each facility; participating in meetings involving facilities; supervising, managing, directing, and coordinating eight full time employees; reconciling and signing off on employee time sheets. performance plans and evaluations, corrective actions, recommendations for disciplinary actions, performance awards, and a variety of other employee-related programs; and performs trade work as needed to address workload demands, staffing shortages, cross-training, and employee development opportunities.

Four (4) years of relevant experience (construction and/or labor trades or crafts) in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position which one year must include inspecting trades work; and two (2) of which must have been at the level of a tradesman unit supervisor or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications:
