Job Description
Ridgeview Post-Acute is a 112-bed rehab facility. Ridgeview Post-Acute seeks an energetic and experienced Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
- Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of supervising maintenance tasks.
- Supervise day to day maintenance functions of assigned personnel.
- Assist in setting maintenance standards.
- Assist in developing procedures for performing daily maintenance tasks.
- Schedule work assignments and prepare work schedules.
- Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
- Ensure that work schedules are followed as closely as practical.
- Interpret department policies and procedures to new maintenance personnel.
- Train assigned personnel in proper techniques of maintenance services, use of equipment, etc.
- Assign personnel to specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
- Ensure that personnel are performing assigned tasks in accordance with established maintenance procedures.
- Ensure that fire protection and prevention programs are maintained by all departments in accordance with the fire and safety polices and procedures.
- Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a safe and attractive manner.
- Assist in maintaining material safety data sheets (MSDSs) for hazardous chemicals in all departments.
- Ensure that containers of hazardous chemicals are properly labeled and stored.
- Ensure that all departments follow established policies governing the use of labels and MSDSs.
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned work areas to assure that cleanliness and sanitary conditions are maintained.
- Ensure an adequate supply of maintenance supplies is maintained to perform daily tasks.
- Monitor maintenance procedures to ensure that supplies are used in an efficient manner.
- Label or tag equipment that is not safe for use.
