In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive profitability through effective management of service technicians and repair processes. Duties Supervise and support heavy equipment technicians and service staff. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment and municipal machinery. Perform repairs and maintenance on compact track loaders, sweepers, refuse truck equipment, and related machinery. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and control systems. Maintain a safe, productive, and professional work environment. Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers. Develop relationships with equipment owners, fleet managers, and contractors to promote the company's service capabilities. Support the growth and utilization of the service department by maintaining a steady pipeline of service work. Address and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Monitor service department performance, productivity, and technician utilization. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Assist management with reporting related to service operations. Experience 3+ years supervising technicians or managing service operations. 8+ years of experience as a equipment mechanic or in heavy equipment service. Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment repairs. Ability to identify and develop service business opportunities with customers. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple service jobs simultaneously. Experience with welding and fabrication. CDL Preferred. Bonus structure available also
