A mountain adventure hospitality operation is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Manager in Crested Butte, CO to oversee vehicle, equipment, generator, and fleet maintenance. Duties & Responsibilities Manage a team of vehicle mechanics and oversee daily fleet maintenance operations across Colorado-based properties. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain vehicles, transportation equipment, backup generators, and related systems. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and quality control site visits to keep fleet operations safe and reliable. Maintain service records, repair logs, registrations, inventories, purchasing records, expense tracking, and weekly transportation updates. Coordinate with operations teams, vendors, manufacturers, and contractors to support repairs, logistics, and maintenance standards. Assist with department training, SOP reviews, budget tracking, emergency response, property maintenance, remote PV systems, and fuel facility operations as needed.
Requirements Required:
High school diploma or GED required. 5+ years of mechanical experience. 3+ years of management or supervisory experience leading mechanics, technicians, or maintenance staff. Troubleshooting and repair experience with vehicles, transportation equipment, generators, and related fleet systems. Skilled with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, company apps, service records, and maintenance documentation. Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and ability to complete pre-employment criminal background and MVR checks. Basic First Aid and CPR certifications, or willingness to be trained. Able to work late when needed, respond to occasional emergencies, lift up to 50 lbs, work in physically demanding conditions, and travel internationally up to 10% with a valid passport.
Preferred:
Ski industry or mountain operations experience. Industry-related degree or vocational/trade school certification. Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. Possess personal tools. #SJ1
Compensation:
$80,000 - $100,000/year salary based on experience and qualifications Full-time, year-round salaried position Benefits package offered
Shifts:
Day shift, typically 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Fixed schedule with seasonal variation as needed Occasional emergency response may be required for field breakdowns or urgent fleet issues
