Full Job Description Job Title:
Maintenance Field Manager (MFM) Reports to: Maintenance Account Manager (MAM)
Department:
Maintenance Department SUMMARY:
Responsible for directing and leading Maintenance Foremen and project crews. The MFM oversees the day-to-day activities of maintenance work including quality, safety, equipment management, and project route planning while helping ensure that job budgets are consistently met.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • While following company procedures and policies, manage Maintenance Foremen and delegate work to ensure that work is performed efficiently and that service expectations are met by providing expertise and guidance.
  • Collaborate on route planning with the AM.
  • Performs manual duties as needed to assist Foremen to meet job timelines and budgets.
  • Mixes concentrated herbicides and distributes them to Foremen as needed.
  • Evaluates and understands work orders, to organize labor, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete work assignments.
  • Notifies AM of labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete work orders.
  • Reviews and approves daily digital timecard entries to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Review weekly labor reports with AM and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe and proper manner, complete daily equipment inspection reports and submit them on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure necessary equipment repairs are reported to the Shop Manager and fixed before use.
  • Track assigned equipment inventory and collaborate with Operations on equipment needs and allocation.
  • Assists the AM and BM with hiring, disciplinary action, and termination of team members.
  • MFM will lead and train the team in conjunction with the AM, identify potential leaders, and assist in the personal growth of team members.
  • Understand client needs via regular communication with the Account Manager.
  • Ensure that job site quality and appearance meet client and ELCI standards.
  • Manage all landscape services, including the coordination of all materials, people, equipment and subcontractors required to produce quality work.
  • Inspect properties prior to scheduled service in order to properly prepare specific action plan for service. Adjust schedule as needed and follow up.
  • Perform annual reviews and make wage adjustment recommendations to the BM for the Maintenance Foreman and laborers.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Engineer and AM to ensure compliance to OSHA and Environmental Landworks Company, Inc.
's safety regulations.
EQUIPMENT
  • Ensure that all assigned vehicles and equipment are operated in a safe and proper manner and submit necessary repairs to the Shop Manager as needed.
  • Ensure daily preventive maintenance is performed and properly recorded.
  • Collaborate with Operations regarding equipment inventory and support as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in all necessary meetings, including weekly meetings with AM.
  • Follow all State, Local, and Federal Motor carrier laws in compliance with hauling and transporting equipment, and materials.
  • Attend property walks with the AM as requested.
  • May be called on to assist estimating with the development of an estimate.
  • Provide or coordinate on-the-job training to current & new team members as appropriate.
  • Snow maintenance work as required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Organizational & Communication Skills Time Management & Ability to Prioritize Customer/ Client Focus & Attention to Detail Adaptability in high-pressure situations Basic estimating and scope development High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent work experience Proficient in Microsoft Suite Experience in Aspire or like systems highly recommended Comprehensive knowledge of landscape and irrigation processes, including troubleshooting and problem solving or new or existing irrigation systems. Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations Ability to research watering rules, regulations, and requirements for various municipalities and other government entities
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday; however, this role requires flexibility. Extended hours, nights, weekends, and on-call availability may be required during peak seasons and snow events.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect properties and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position involves both inside and outside weather conditions.
  • Significant local and occasional overnight travel required; valid state driver's license required with an appropriate driving record, as determined by the Company's sole discretion.
  • Employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.

Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
