Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Machine Shop Foreman to lead our precision machining team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, ensuring top-quality production, meeting delivery deadlines, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of machinists and CNC operators (8-20 employees) Oversee setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and manual machines Ensure all parts are produced to exact specifications and quality standards Manage production schedules and prioritize jobs to meet customer deadlines Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized shop (5S) Conduct employee training, performance reviews, and coaching Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams Monitor tooling, materials, and machine maintenance needs Drive continuous improvement and track key metrics (efficiency, scrap, on-time delivery)

Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience in a machine shop (CNC and manual) 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code), tooling, and machining practices Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings High school diploma or GED required; technical certification (NIMS, etc.) a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
