MANAGER IN HARTFORD, CT
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Hartford, Connecticut. This individual will be responsible for. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of facility maintenance practices and equipment operation, 18 months of education or training beyond high school, and more listed below. Pay, Schedule, and Location Starting at $70,000 - $75,000 Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision Day shift - must be available on weekends. There is no specific start time as this can vary Located in Hartford, Connecticut Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and assign work to maintenance team members. Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and related systems. Ensure all work areas, dock areas, aisles, breakrooms, restrooms, shipping offices, and exterior grounds remain clean, organized, and in good working condition. Determine staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies needed to complete maintenance projects. Transfer equipment and personnel between projects as necessary to meet operational needs. Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and equipment issues. Diagnose problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules and establish work priorities. Perform and oversee complex maintenance and repair activities. Lead and support skilled and semi-skilled maintenance personnel, including those performing carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications 18 months of education or training beyond high school in general maintenance, repair, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience with the ability to recognize and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions. Strong understanding of facility maintenance practices and equipment operation. Technical school education (2 years preferred). 3+ years of experience in a closely related maintenance field. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal). Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Analytical thinking and sound judgment when evaluating maintenance issues and solutions. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs and work throughout a large facility.
