Night Shift Mechanic Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Mechanic Supervisor to lead our second-shift team. This critical role ensures our fleet operates safely and efficiently, overseeing skilled mechanics during the evening shift to uphold high standards of performance and reliability.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am

Friday:

10:00 am to 6:00 pm Responsibilities Supervise night mechanics with a positive attitude. Must have a strong mechanical background. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team is a plus. Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills. Assign work to mechanics and plan day-to-day operations for the second shift team. Send a daily report of issues, things to know, and parts used/needed to the maintenance Manager. Complete nightly tasks given by the manager Delegate and supervise available work to make sure everyone has work and stays busy till the end of the shift. Help mechanics when needed. Assign Daily tasks to each mechanic to make things smoother. (trash/tire trailer/locking doors/key check) Communicate with the Maintenance Manager about work duties, issues, and night plans.

Requirements:

3-5 years of management experience Experience with CNG-powered vehicles is a plus. Mechanical background Knowledge of electrical components is a plus. CDL Class B is a plus Basic understanding of brakes and suspension systems is a plus. Applicants must be able to successfully pass a DOT, physical agility exam, and pre-employment drug test. Applicants must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and push-pull up to 200 lbs. Training is essential to developing a top-performing team of technicians. Considerable effort is put into training various specialties of technicians at All Waste. Training through Cummins, various CNG training organizations, and other in-person and online education venues are available and encouraged for AWI technicians. Applicants should have proven mechanical skills on medium and heavy-duty trucks, and computer aptitude-specific refuse vehicle systems training can be provided to the right candidate.
