This community is dedicated to serving older adults in the District who have disabilities and low to moderate incomes, with a strong emphasis on delivering compassionate, resident-centered care that supports physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The Maintenance Supervisor plays a key leadership role, overseeing all maintenance and housekeeping operations while ensuring the efficient performance of building systems and facility services. This position serves as a central point of coordination among operations, asset management, business partners, and external vendors, ensuring seamless communication and execution across all facility-related functions. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Maintenance Supervisor contributes to new project implementation and ongoing performance optimization. Primary Responsibilities In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Maintenance Supervisor contributes to new project implementation and ongoing performance optimization. Responsibilities include developing and executing operational plans, monitoring key performance indicators, and adapting strategies to meet evolving needs and market conditions. The role provides direct oversight of maintenance staff, capital improvement initiatives, and procurement activities, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. This position is accountable for all building-related functions, including preventive maintenance, energy management, and adherence to established quality and operational standards. Through effective leadership and execution, the Maintenance Supervisor ensures the property is well-maintained, compliant, and positioned to preserve and enhance its long-term value. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervise housekeeping and maintenance teams Management of all day-to-day housekeeping and maintenance operations. Maintain and manage the facility building management system platform, TELs. Facilitate partnerships with vendors and contractors. Supervise vendors and subcontractors, as needed. Maintain preventive maintenance and overall schedules for all. Responsible for instituting and managing maintenance and operational best practices for all buildings, grounds and operating systems. Understand OSHA, other regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices to insure compliance with work and testing being performed by maintenance personnel, vendors and subcontractors. Operate and manage all aspects of the Building Management Systems (HVAC, lighting control, security and life safety). Manage usage and procurement to insure utility optimization. Project Systems Team member must operate, test, maintain and restore to working order any component of the systems used within the property, including but not limited to: Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning (HVAC) Plumbing Electrical and Lighting Systems Structural Life Safety Systems
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5+ years' Maintenance engineering experience with knowledge of commercial, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems 2+ years of experience in an Assisted Living, healthcare facility, or similar enviornment preferred; but not required. 3+ years of experience in supervisory or people manager roles. High school diploma or equivalent with technical school certification, preferred. General maintenance skills in carpentry, painting, locksmithing, etc. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Proven knowledge of technical terms used in HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical Strong knowledge of building trade tools and equipment Good verbal communication skills and written communication skills in English and customer service skills Must be a good team player with multi-tasking skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent attendance record and willingness to work a flexible schedule which may include after hours and/or on-call duties #Calvary Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For (Insert State) this ranges from $70,000 - $100,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
