Mainenance Manager Taste of History LLC Washington, DC Job Details $60,000 - $65,000 a year 4 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Basic math Maintenance Customer inquiry handling High school diploma or GED Driver's License Team management Productivity software Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Join our team as a Maintenance Manager responsible for overseeing the operation and upkeep of multiple high-traffic kiosks located throughout the National Mall . In this dynamic, hands-on role, you'll ensure that each kiosk remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for the millions of visitors who pass through each year. We're looking for a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and vendor services across several sites in a fast-paced, iconic environment.
Responsibilities:
Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment by following established inspection procedures Must be capable of "hands on repairs" in most maintenance disciplines and be available to assist other maintenance staff with related tasks such as general painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, concrete, heating, welding, roofing and other related jobs including landscaping and care and maintenance of all restroom facilities. Perform assigned maintenance and mechanical duties for buildings and associated facilities, furnishings and equipment Comply with industry safety standards and procedures to ensure all maintenance staff perform job duties properly, including lifting, climbing, etc. Polite, knowledgeable and timely customer service when responding to visitor inquiries Operate and maintain a computer-based planned preventative maintenance program for building equipment and maintenance and repairs scheduling. Adhere to defined budgets and reporting processes Develop excellent relationships with external providers of maintenance services, such as electrical contractors, to ensure prompt, efficient support of all property maintenance needsPosition Requirements:
Must be self motivated with the ability to perform with the highest professional and ethical standards Must respond well to a changing work environment and able to perform at the highest level with minimal supervision Must possess strong leadership and managerial skills that include the ability to coach, develop and clearly communicate expectations Must have excellent analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to proactively recommend solutions Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills Must possess excellent basic math skills Must possess a valid driver license at time of application with a clean driving record Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance duties Proficiency with software to support office functions such as word processing, spreadsheets and emailEducation and Experience:
Education:
High school diploma or GED. College degree or technical/trade school preferredExperience:
Minimum 3 (three) years successful management experience .
