Position Overview:
The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for the day to day activities of directing, controlling and coordinating all phases of the Maintenance Department. He/she is also able to perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on equipment, machinery, buildings and utility systems.Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Chief Operations Officer. Leads and supervises the Maintenance Mechanics.Primary Objectives:

Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Supports plant facilities and equipment maintenance to achieve cost effectiveness Ensures Maintenance Department compliance with all company policies and procedures Assists in the selection, supervision, and development of direct reports Maintains a collaborative relationship with all other departments Ensures maintenance support is available as needed Remains aware and trained on all technical advancements in his/her area of responsibility Assists and directs all mechanics with expertise in equipment Ensures that equipment is maintained and operational per company standards Oversees all parts acquisition activities Proactively improves process functioning and strives for enhanced levels of efficiency Ensures service calls and machinery repairs are completed in a timely manner Manages plant level capital projects in conjunction with department managers Manages facility maintenance activities Manages with integrity while upholding ethical standards of the organization Facilitates external and internal communication in order to achieve company goals Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures Facilitates a safe and clean work environment Works quickly and efficiently to meet department and company goals while adhering to all company, safety and health policies Completes documentation required of the Maintenance Manager (Monthly Facilities Checklist, SPCC checklist, etc.) Obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts and major purchases; orders parts as needed Works in various environmental conditions such as extreme heat or cold, dusty, dirty and/or wet conditions Assists with preventive and corrective maintenance procedures per expertise, as needed Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Designs, selects, purchases and installs equipment in conjunction with the Sales Team for customer accounts Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications and establishing personal networks Must demonstrate competency in all aspects of the job and company objectives Demonstrate understanding of company policies, rules and trainings Other duties as assignedDesired Characteristics:
High School Diploma required Associates degree or trade program preferred, and 5+ years of related work experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Quality Management System - ISO (9000, 14001, 18001, 22000), industry experience preferred Excellent communication skills Demonstrated experience in managing a team PM (preventative maintenance) knowledge preferred Experience with OSHA regulations as applicable to the department, preferred Prior experience with project management Candidate must pass a pre-employment physical, background and credit check.
