Job Description:
Monitors all incoming work orders and coordinates with requesters to ensure accuracy and completeness. Plans each work order to ensure technicians have the appropriate time, tools, parts, permits, and area access to complete the work orders. Initiates, coordinates, and supervises contractor/vendor repair activities. Responds to all inquiries regarding maintenance, repairs, and other department activities. Performs assigned corrective maintenance tasks as required. Ensures availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment, working closely with the Logistics Manager. Advises Facilities Leadership of all equipment breakdowns or failures and major building repair needs. Provides effective feedback and maintains open communication with all maintenance personnel on the performance of planned tasks to improve planning accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic, and power generation systems. [Required]
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols and government regulations pertaining to healthcare facilities management. [Required]
  • Able to communicate in English. [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required]
  • Must have an equal mix of technical and social skills. Technical skills to help estimate scope/times to complete work orders; social skills to help manage the needs of different people at all levels of the organization. [Required]
  • Must have the ability to work in a self-directed manner and provide technical direction to others. [Required]
  • Must be able to recognize opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing them. [Required]
  • Must be able to climb a ladder and work at heights. [Required]
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, and quality and procedure manuals. [Required]
  • Working knowledge of life safety, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within a hospital environment. [Preferred]
  • Creating realistic estimates for work and expense for both in-house and contractor provided projects. [Preferred]
  • Creating timely and accurate reports of work and work progress for the Manager and Director. [Preferred]
  • Competent in MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, Teams, and other applications used in daily business. [Preferred]
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) like PeopleSoft (or equivalent).

Education:
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Work Experience:
  • 2+ facility maintenance experience [Required]
  • Working knowledge of computized maintenance management systems (CMMS) like PeopleSoft (or equivalent) [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Driver's License (DL) [Required]

Pay Range:
