This individual will be responsible for overseeing maintenance personnel, ensuring equipment reliability, managing preventive maintenance programs, and supporting production goals while maintaining compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience managing maintenance teams in a food manufacturing environment, and a proven track record of improving equipment uptime, productivity, and operational efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management Supervise, coach, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics. Schedule and assign daily maintenance activities to ensure maximum productivity. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Coordinate and oversee contractors and outside service providers as needed. Maintenance Operations Manage all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities throughout the facility. Ensure production equipment, packaging lines, utilities, and facility systems operate efficiently and reliably. Minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Develop and implement maintenance strategies that improve equipment performance and reduce costs. Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure critical parts are available when needed. Compliance & Food Safety Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, OSHA, FDA, and company safety standards. Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation. Develop and update SOPs and maintenance procedures. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and productivity. Lead root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives. Partner with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support operational goals. Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred. 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a food manufacturing, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing environment. Previous experience supervising maintenance technicians, mechanics, or skilled trades personnel. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems. Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems. Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and FDA regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing maintenance teams of 5 or more employees. Experience with packaging equipment, conveyors, mixers, fillers, and processing equipment. PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus. Experience with CMMS software such as Fiix, SAP, Blue Mountain, or similar systems. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. #PRO123
