Job Description

Company Overview Princess Martha is an active senior living community dedicated to enriching the lives of residents aged 55 and older. Located in Downtown, we are passionate about fostering a vibrant, supportive environment where seniors thrive and feel at home. Job Overview Recognize and respond to the safety and physical maintenance, housekeeping and transportation needs of the facility. Effectively manage the maintenance, housekeeping and transportation departments with regard to residents, employees, families, visitors and the public. Make prompt and accurate administrative judgments as they relate to maintenance, housekeeping and transportation management. Communicate a sense of caring, concern and dignity for residents/patients. Effectively perform the essential functions of the job in a manner that benefits residents of the facility and complies with business necessity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Central Services Director include planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Maintenance, Housekeeping and Transportation departments for the building, grounds and equipment. These responsibilities must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing The Princess Martha as directed by the site Executive Director, to assure the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities. Primary duties include managing the Maintenance Department, the Housekeeping Department and the Transportation Department of the building with at least 50% of the time performing exempt work. Planning and controlling the budget of the central services departments, employee hiring, counseling and termination and monitoring legal compliance measures within the departments.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
In the interest of residents/patients, the Maintenance and Housekeeping manager will have the preferred minimum educational background of having a high school diploma or GED equivalency & HVAC experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH REQUIRED A
Maintenance and Housekeeping manager must be capable of lifting a minimum of fifty pounds. The Princess Martha has determined that to perform the essential functions of the job of Maintenance and Housekeeping manager, that persons must be able to perform the essential physical tasks without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of him/herself or others, including residents, co-workers and others.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
