Full-Time Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations for our independent living community. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Maintenance Manager will manage preventative maintenance programs, supervise maintenance staff, coordinate repairs, and ensure the community meets all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community including building systems, grounds, and equipment Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems Supervise and train maintenance team members, scheduling daily work assignments and projects Ensure the community complies with all local, state, and federal safety regulations Maintain fire safety systems, emergency generators, and life-safety equipment Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and supply ordering Respond to and prioritize resident service requests in a timely and professional manner Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency Assist with apartment turnovers, renovations, and capital improvement projects
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of maintenance leadership experience (senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multifamily housing preferred) Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems Experience supervising and leading maintenance teams Knowledge of safety procedures, OSHA standards, and life-safety systems Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs
Preferred Qualifications:
HVAC certification or trade license Experience in assisted living, independent living, or healthcare facilities Knowledge of preventative maintenance software or work order systems
