This hands-on leadership role is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and functionality of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and proven experience managing maintenance teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a key member of our operations team, the Chief Engineer ensures all building systems operate efficiently, complies with safety standards, and meets brand expectations.
Compensation:
$16 - $17 hourly
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring consistent quality, safety, and operational excellence. Coordinate and supervise maintenance projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Evaluate building systems to determine necessary maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of progressive maintenance experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking or work order systems. Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to resolve complex maintenance issues. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent required.
