Job Description

Big Time Restaurant Group - Regional Facilities Manager Palm Beach County, FL | Travel Required Big Time Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced and highly organized Facilities Manager to oversee facility operations, maintenance programs, vendor relationships, and improvement projects across approximately 18 restaurant locations throughout South Florida. This position will play a key role in ensuring all locations operate safely, efficiently, and consistently with Big Time Restaurant Group's standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong project management skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to balance day-to-day operational needs with long-term facilities planning. Compensation & Benefits Competitive Salary Based on Experience Health Insurance - Eligible the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment 401(k) Life Insurance Paid Time Off Dining Discounts Growth Opportunities within Big Time Restaurant Group ResponsibilitiesFacilities & Maintenance Management Lead all facilities maintenance operations across approximately 18 restaurant locations. Oversee daily maintenance needs, repairs, emergency response, and operational support. Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and commercial kitchen equipment. Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and long-term improvement opportunities. Create asset lifecycle plans to maximize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve operational efficiency. Partner with restaurant leadership to prioritize repairs while minimizing disruption to daily operations. Ensure all locations maintain Big Time Restaurant Group's standards for safety, cleanliness, functionality, and appearance. Project Management & Capital Improvements Manage facility improvement projects, equipment replacements, renovations, restaurant refreshes, and operational upgrades. Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and contractor expectations. Obtain bids, coordinate contractors, and oversee projects from planning through completion. Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality standards while ensuring minimal impact to restaurant operations. Support new restaurant openings, construction projects, and facility-related initiatives. Track project progress and provide updates to senior leadership. Maintenance Systems & Reporting Serve as the primary administrator and point of contact for the company's maintenance management system (Maintain IQ). Ensure all maintenance requests are properly submitted, tracked, assigned, and completed. Train restaurant leaders on system usage and maintenance procedures. Monitor maintenance trends, response times, recurring issues, and vendor performance. Create reporting dashboards and provide insights to improve processes and reduce costs. Maintain accurate records including service histories, warranties, inspections, and completed work. Vendor & Contractor Management Manage relationships with all maintenance vendors and contractors supporting restaurant operations. Source, negotiate, and maintain service agreements for HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance. Establish strong vendor partnerships and ensure consistent service quality. Monitor vendor performance, response times, and adherence to service-level expectations. Verify contractor compliance with insurance, licensing, safety, and quality requirements. Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and cost savings. Budget Management & Cost Control Assist with annual facilities budgeting and capital expenditure planning. Manage maintenance spending across assigned locations. Review invoices, approve completed work, and ensure costs align with budget expectations. Identify opportunities for cost reduction through preventative maintenance, energy efficiency, and operational improvements. Track expenses and provide budget updates to leadership. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all restaurants remain compliant with local, state, and federal safety requirements. Partner with operations teams to prepare for health department, safety, and building inspections. Maintain compliance documentation including permits, inspection reports, and service records. Support ADA, fire/life safety, and risk management initiatives. Help create and maintain safe environments for guests and team members. QualificationsExperience 5+ years of facilities management, maintenance management, construction, or project management experience. Experience supporting multiple locations within restaurant, hospitality, retail, or commercial environments preferred. Proven experience managing vendors, contractors, budgets, and facility improvement projects. Experience with CMMS or maintenance management software (Maintain IQ experience preferred). Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond quickly to changing business needs. Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management abilities. Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, restaurant equipment, and maintenance operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance tracking platforms. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills. Schedule & Travel Requirements Primarily Monday-Friday with flexibility based on business needs. Frequent travel between restaurant locations throughout South Florida (approximately 50-70%). Must be available for emergency maintenance situations when needed.
