Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID 2555 Vista Parkway, WPB 34606 Supervises and coordinates the operation and maintenance of dredge/sand transfer pump houses under Palm Beach County's jurisdiction. Assigns, coordinates, directs, and supervises personnel and equipment. Directs field operations; assigns work to crews; conducts on-site inspections; prepares weekly dredge/sand transfer reports; responds to complaints from citizens; resolves work problems in accordance with established policies and procedures. Work is performed under the general supervision of an administrative superior and is reviewed through observations, conferences, and results obtained.

QUALIFICATIONS

: This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following: Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in road construction or maintenance, including one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience, OR Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in road construction or maintenance, including one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with dredge operations, Experience with inventory management, maintaining equipment/materials, and maintenance records, Experience in inspecting roads/drainage structures/ditches for maintenance needs, Experience resolving/ responding to complaints from citizens, Experience reading/interpreting construction plans (must specify on application) , and Knowledge of County roads, geographical area/road safety, and maintenance policies.
