Job Description
WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing the operations of Athens Maintenance Electrical Technicians and Apprentices in a Union Environment. The person in this role will provide leadership and technical support to the maintenance department covering installations, maintenance, and repairs of all electrical systems. They will ensure safety standards and compliance codes are met, and oversee the training and scheduling of the Electrical Technicians. The Electrical Supervisor will have past experience in the field of electronics and possess a wide technical knowledge. In this role, the Supervisor will:- Actively participate in plant safety programs and maintain a knowledge and understanding OSHA requirements, and other safety standards.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to safety of others and compliance to organizational safety initiatives and policies. This experienced candidate will also have the following: Qualified electrician with over 10 years' experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment (continuous manufacturing preferred) Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a direct supervisor. Working in a union environment is a plus! Computer systems proficiency in Microsoft applications (Office, Excel, Word, etc). SAP and Kronos system experience is strongly preferred. Highly motivated, self-directed with a strong work ethic and mature decision-making abilities requiring minimal supervision or instruction. Strong communication (written and oral), professional and interpersonal competences are essential to build and develop team members. Demonstrated time-management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills, working effectively with individuals in various levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve safety and productivity goals. Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools, or World Class Manufacturing, for business process improvement.A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US
