Job Description

Overview Join the team at DoubleTree by Hilton Augusta as our Maintenance Supervisor and play a key leadership role in maintaining the overall functionality, safety, appearance, and operational excellence of the property. We are seeking a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, preventative maintenance experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through well-maintained facilities and responsive service. In this role, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee daily engineering and maintenance operations, support capital and preventative maintenance initiatives, ensure compliance with safety standards, and partner closely with hotel leadership to maintain operational efficiency across all areas of the property. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment while leading by example and supporting the development of the engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Supervisorprofessional looking to make a direct impact within a full-service hospitality environment committed to service excellence, teamwork, and operational success. Responsibilities Assist with supervision of maintenance operations for the hotel, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventative maintenance, hotel rooms, A\C and heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc. Ensure all projects are completed on time and according to specifications. Work closely with other departments to ensure coordination of activities. Aid and instruct craftsmen in scheduling work, ordering material, and completing assignments by a specified date. Comply with an ongoing maintenance program. Assist with performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Tend air conditioners, cooling towers and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests. Maintain standards of quality guest service. Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development. Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive maintenance or engineering leadership experience within hospitality, commercial, or related environments preferred Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial equipment, guest room systems, and facility infrastructure Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience overseeing preventative maintenance programs, work order systems, and facility inspections Ability to manage vendor relationships, coordinate outside contractors, and oversee project completion Experience supporting hotel renovations, property improvement plans (PIPs), capital projects, or large-scale facility upgrades preferred Strong understanding of OSHA standards, workplace safety practices, and emergency response procedures Experience managing maintenance budgets, inventory, and operational expenses preferred Ability to lead, train, and develop engineering or maintenance team members in a fast-paced hospitality environment Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and operational needs Experience supporting full-service hotel operations preferred, including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, laundry equipment, and back-of-house operations Flexible schedule availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities as needed Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems, preventative maintenance software, and basic computer applications preferred Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles if required

$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
