Job Summary The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities within the poultry processing facility. This position supports plant operations by improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance activities. Coordinate maintenance work orders through CMMS systems such as SAP or Maximo. Work closely with production and sanitation departments to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to operations. Monitor equipment downtime and identify recurring mechanical or electrical issues. Maintain inventory levels of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies. Create job plans, estimate labor hours, and ensure parts are available before scheduled work begins. Track maintenance KPIs including PM completion, downtime, backlog, and equipment reliability. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades. Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, GMP, and company safety standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Coordinate contractor and vendor services as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred. 2+ years of maintenance planning or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Poultry or food manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office programs. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the facility. Ability to work in cold, wet, humid, and noisy environments. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to wear required PPE in production areas. Work Environment This position operates within a poultry processing facility with exposure to production equipment, moving machinery, cold temperatures, and sanitation chemicals. Flexibility for overtime and weekends may be required based on production needs.

$21.00 per hour
