BWP Job Summary The Maintenance Planner is responsible for delivering routine planning services that support a proactive maintenance culture across all functional maintenance tasks. This role ensures the development of high-quality maintenance plans and job packages to enable the effective execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance activities. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and environmental compliance, achieved through thorough job safety analyses, method statements, and the identification of necessary permitting requirements. The Maintenance Planner plays a key role in establishing and maintaining a sufficient backlog to support the plant's scheduling needs, while also monitoring planning accuracy to drive continuous improvement, particularly for repetitive tasks. Additionally, this position contributes to the development of asset Bills of Material (BOMs) to enhance planning and execution efficiency and maintains a comprehensive library of job task lists to streamline the planning process for recurring maintenance work. Key Responsibilities Accountable for development of job plans that identify safety hazards, permitting requirements, special tools and equipment, and required PPE. The job plans created by the planner will breakdown critical task that include types and number of craft resources, contractor requirements and internal and external material requirements. Builds a 'ready to be scheduled' backlog with time requirements assigned to job tasks to support weekly maintenance scheduling. Prioritizes job development based on asset criticality and customer prioritization of work. Supports the strategies of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution. Performs requisitioning and bills of material development as part of the planning activity. Assists in contractor coordination and performs service entries of completed services. Manages all corrective and preventive job plans / task lists to ensure readiness for scheduled and unscheduled recurring work opportunities. Serves as SAP PM subject matter expert and local master data manager within the plant SAP PM environment. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Manages staff performance and development, coaching team members to achieve their full potential in contributing to the department's goals.
